On July 9, 2019, Associate Professor Dr. Winai Dahlan, the HSC Director and Assistant Professor Nifarid Raden-Ahmad, HSC Deputy Director, representing the Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University, attended the Chief Ministers’ and Governor’s Forum Thailand Committee (CMGFTC) of the Fiscal Year 2019 on Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT).  The Meeting was presided over by Mr. Thanakom Jongjira, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.  Others attending the meeting included the Governors and representatives of 14 southern provinces of Thailand, representatives from the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand, from the Federation of Thai Industries, and from Prince of Songkla University.

The HSC Director informed the meeting of the Halal Science Center’s strength in the Halal Affairs on the development and promotion of Halal in Thailand.  He further stated that Thailand is seen as a role model on the Halal Block Chain Project and on the development of the H-Numbers in systematic searching for ingredients in Halal products, the system developed by the Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University to effectively reduce the laboratory work.
