The Provincial Islamic Council of Chiang Mai and the HSC-CU at the Chiang Mai Office audit two business enterprises in Chiang Mai

 

On April 18, 2019, the Office of the Provincial Islamic Council of Chiang Mai and Miss Sulaiya Piamchaiwat, a scientist at the HSC-CU at the Chiang Mai Office visited two business enterprises in Chiang Mai to audit their products: Green Diamond Co., Ltd. requesting a Halal certificate on the Spirulina and Khun Prasert Industries Co., Ltd. requesting a Halal Certificate on the Egg Tofu.  The HSC-CU scientist also presented Hal-Klean Liquid Soap, a product developed by the Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University (HSC-CU) to these two companies together with the instructions.

 

The HSC-CU visits the Office of the Provincial Islamic Council of Satun Province

 

On March 28, 2019 Associate Professor Dr. Winai Dahlan, the HSC-CU Director,  Assistant Professor Nifarid Raden Ahmad, the HSC-CU Deputy Director at the Pattani Office, and Miss Arada Palalay, an HSC-CU coordinating officer together with HSC-CU scientists and accounting officers visited the Office of the Provincial Islamic Council of Satun Province to follow up on the progress of the Council’s management and expenses of the TOR budget for the Fiscal Years of 2015-2016.

 

The HSC-CU participates in the Maulid Nabi Celebration of Thailand A.H. 1440’s Exhibitions

 

On the auspicious occasion of the Maulid al-Nabi Celebration of Thailand A.H. 1440 on April 3, 2019, marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) organized at the National Islamic Affairs Administration Center Chaloem Phra Kiat, Nong Chok District, Bangkok, in which His Majesty King Rama X presided over, the HSC-CU participated in the event by organizing exhibitions on “Haram and Mashbooh”  After the opening ceremony, His Majesty the King graciously visited the HSC-CU exhibition booths.  The President of the 2019 Maulid Nabi Celebration of Thailand A.H. 1440 was Mr. Aziz Phitakkumpon, the Sheikhul lslam of Thailand and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee was Mr. Anan Wanaeloh.

HSC-CU’s Visits to Halal certified enterprises in Chiang Rai

On Wednesday 9, January 2019, the staff of the HSC-CU and the Halal Standard Institute of Thailand, the Office of the Islamic Central Committee of Thailand, and the Office of the Provincial Islamic Council in Chiang Rai together with several Islamic religious leaders visited Halal certified enterprises in Chiang Rai Province as follows:

The first team

The first team was led by an Islamic religious leader – Imam Yongyuth Wangnimin, together with two members of the Provincial Islamic Council in Chiang Rai – Lieutenant Tat Damrongmuang and Mr. Winai Pattararuangwilai, and an HSC scientist at Chiangmai Office– Miss Sulaiya Piamchaiwat.

The morning visit                 The third team visited a Muslim owned medium-scale enterprise named Suwirun Thai Tea Co. Ltd, comprising 50 employees.  Some of the products already received Halal certification are dried green tea, Oolong tea, black tea, and dried herbal tea.

The afternoon visit               The third team also visited a medium-scale enterprise named Paben Foods Co. Ltd., comprising 60 employees.  Some of the products already received Halal certification are red curry paste and northern styles’ soup noodle curry paste and roasted curry paste (Khao Soi and Nam Ngiaw).  The brand name of these products is Pa Noy.

 

The second team

The second team was led by Imam Ekamol Srisaman, Mr. Wichian Sirisitiwong, Mr. Rachapol Sritham, Khun Wattana Tayjawandee from the Provincial Islamic Council in Chiang Rai, and Miss Chitaporn Pratan – an HSC-CU scientist.

The Morning visit                 The second team visited H.R. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Royal Initiative of the Tea Oil and Plant Oils Development Center in Mae Sai, Chiang Rai, which produces camellia oleifera seed oil and other plant oils.  This factory produces good quality oils for consumption, cosmetics, remedies, and other by-products.

The afternoon visit               The team visited Doi Kham Food Products Co. Ltd.  The team visited the Second Royal Food Factory Mae Chan – the main factory producing products under the brand ‘Doi Kham.’  Some of the products already receiving the Halal certification are fruit juices, frozen fruits, and soy flour.

HSC-CU’s visits to Halal certified enterprises in Cha Choeng Sao Province

On Thursday 10, January 2019, the staff of the HSC-CU and the Halal Standard Institute of Thailand, the Office of the Islamic Central Committee of Thailand, together with several Islamic religious leaders visited Halal certified enterprises in Cha Choeng Sao Province as follows:

The first team

The first team was led by two Islamic religious leaders – Imam Pramote Meesuwan and Imam Bundit Wongderee, together with two members of the Islamic Central Committee of Thailand – Mr. Somyos Wangabdullah and Mr. Prasert Wangsa-ard, and an HSC-CU scientist – Miss Tuanyasmeen Saerae.

The morning visit                 The first team visited P.T. Foods Processing Co. Ltd.  The products already received Halal certification are frozen processed seafood (fish cake, squid balls, fish balls, shrimp balls), frozen seafood (New Zealand mussels, ruby fish, sea bass), and seasoning powder.

The afternoon visit               The first team also visited Sahachart Business Co.Ltd.  The products already received Halal certification is palm oil used in the noodle industry under the brand ‘Phoenix Noodle Oil’

 

The second team

The second team was led by two Islamic religious leaders – Imam Naeramit Muhammadyusob and Imam Sukhum Denprapa, together with two members of the Islamic Central Committee of Thailand – Mr. Abdullah Andris and Mr. Isra Jankhao, and an HSC-CU scientist – Miss Sunainee Mahama.

The morning visit                 The second team visited a small-scale enterprise named Nakarin Family Foods Co. Ltd.  Their two processed seafood products already received Halal certification are canned fish and smoked fish.

The afternoon visit               The second team also visited a medium-scale enterprise named Chaliang Chemical International.

 

The third team

The third team was led by two Islamic religious leaders – Imam Ramadan Tuamsakol and Imam Songkiat Aramsri, together with two members of the Provincial Islamic Council of Cha Choeng Sao – Mr. Udom Heemwises and Mr. Abideen Salaemad, and an HSC-CU scientist – Miss Chalermsri Chayutsatid.

 The morning visit                 The third team visited a large-scale enterprise named Quality Coffee Products Co. Ltd.  Some of their coffee processing by-products already received Halal certification are roasted and ground coffee, 3 in 1 instant canned coffee, and premium ground coffee.

The afternoon visit               The third team also visited JWD Pacific Co. Ltd, which has received the Halal certification on one cold store (cold storage warehouse) of Halal certified products.

 

The HSC-CU Director paying a visit to the National Economics and Social Development Council Secretary-General and to Chulalongkorn University Vice-President

On January 4, 2019 at 14.00, on the occasion of New Year 2019, Associate Professor Dr. Winai Dahlan – the HSC-CU Director, together with the Administrative Officers and staff members paid a visit to Professor Dr. Tossaporn Sirisamphan – the Secretary General of the National Economics and Social Development Council Board (NESDB), and Dr. Pattama Teanravisitsagool – the Deputy Secretary-General, who oversees the IMT-GT.  Later at 16.00, the HSC-CU Director and the Administrative Officers and staff members also paid a visit to Professor Kiat Raxrungtham (M.D.) – Chulalongkorn University Vice President for Research and Innovation at Chamchuri 4 Bldg.
